This program is the introductory program to the Shambhala Path of the Warrior. It consists of meditation instruction and practice, talks, discussion groups, and an interview with a meditation instructor. Breakfast and lunch are included, as well as a reception at the conclusion of the program. It is open to all.
If you have already taken this program, you may repeat it at half price.
Iris Ramos, a member of the Austin, Tx Shambhala community, has been a student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakong Mipham Rinpoche since 1990. She currently serves as a Co-Director in the South Central Region of Shambhala.
Iris received authorizations to direct Shambhala Training levels in 2000, 2004, and most recently in 2010 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Along with Shambhala Training levels, Iris teaches the courses in the Way of Shambhala curriculum.
Iris has been a student of Ikebana, contemplative floral arrangement, since 1990, and has been serving as an authorized teacher of Ikebana since 2000.
She resides in a small country town in Texas, and spends her spare time gardening and cultivating butterfly and bird habitats.
